Brian Troy | Owner | Cinematographer

I am a Philadelphia-based cinematographer. I graduated from Drexel University where I received a B.S. in Film and Television Production. I completed an internship at QVC and continued working in the QVC lighting and videography departments for several years strengthening my technical lighting skills. I worked next as a camera operator for HGTV, A&E, Live Well, and DIY Networks. I nurtured my visual aesthetic approach to narrative storytelling through opportunities filming branded content, narrative shorts, and music videos. Over time I developed a passion for symmetrical composition and high-contrast visuals. 

My recent Director of Photography credits has provided me with a variety of storytelling opportunities. Recent DP credits include: ABC travel series Discover China, Amazon Prime feminist biographical series Modern Hero, an urban development series Saving the City, an in-progress Netflix sports series, and a Fox Sports Films feature, The Long Game, a documentary that highlights an elite Florida-based 7vs7 organization and the competitors’ road from amateur status to the NFL. My career highlights to date include filming down the center of the Yangtze River and an interview with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. I’m also a 2020 ASC Vision Mentee.
